Find and photograph the identification label

Look for the vehicle serial-number label or plate and any separate model label. Their location varies by model. Yamaha owner’s manuals include identification diagrams in their “Important labels” section; use the diagram for your cart’s model when available.

Take a clear photo of the entire label and write down every letter, number and dash. Use the vehicle serial number rather than an engine serial number or a number printed on a battery or charger.

Confirm the model and year

Yamaha uses the serial-number prefix for model identification. The full number matters when confirming the cart: do not assume a single digit is its model year. Have any purchase paperwork and the model label ready when you call.

Tell us whether the cart is gas or electric and mention any changes, such as a lithium conversion, lift or added seating. Paint color, body panels and accessories alone are not reliable ways to identify the original model.

If the label is missing or unreadable, call us before choosing a manual. Photos of the cart and any remaining labels may help our team narrow it down.

Choose the matching owner’s manual

Once the model and year are confirmed, use the year filter and model search in our manual library. Check the model designation and gas or electric version on the PDF cover before following its instructions.

A factory manual describes the original cart. An aftermarket battery, charger or other accessory may need separate instructions from its manufacturer.
