2026 Yamaha Drive2 EFI Quietech Gas Cart Custom Build
Example from Northern Carts. Equipment and availability vary.

Understand the QuieTech designation

QuieTech EFI is Yamaha’s gas powertrain technology developed with quieter operation and fuel efficiency in mind. EFI stands for electronic fuel injection. We do not apply the QuieTech label to every gas Yamaha or every Drive2: model year and configuration matter. Our matching inventory includes only gas carts explicitly identified as QuieTech in their listing.

Choose the cart around the powertrain

The engine is one part of the decision. You may also be comparing standard-height and lifted carts, seating layouts, body colors, windshields or lighting. Read the installed-equipment list and examine the photos: two QuieTech carts can have very different builds.

Compare gas with your routine

Consider refueling, storage, regular maintenance and how you expect to use the cart. If you are also considering electric, discuss charging access and your typical trips with us. A conversation about your actual use is more useful than assuming a particular cart will meet a universal range or performance figure.

Use a test drive to compare the experience

A test drive can help you compare seating comfort, entry space, visibility and the sound of the actual cart. Let us know whether you expect to carry additional passengers or transport equipment. Those plans may change which seating layout or body configuration you want, even if you have already decided on QuieTech gas power.

Details to compare before choosing your cart
CompareWhat to look for
QuieTech designationLook for the full designation in the listing. EFI describes fuel injection; EFI by itself is not proof of a QuieTech configuration.
Model yearUse documentation for the cart’s model year. Current Yamaha specifications may describe a newer version with different equipment.
Gas versus electricCompare access to fuel with access to charging, and discuss routine maintenance for each. Choose around the way you will actually keep and use the cart.
Custom changesA lift, tire package or extended seating can change the finished cart. Compare the complete build, not just the shared engine designation.

Before you choose

A few common questions

Does EFI always mean QuieTech?

No. EFI alone does not establish that a cart has the QuieTech configuration. We look for the explicit QuieTech designation and can help confirm it on the cart you select.

Are QuieTech carts available as custom builds?

Our inventory can include QuieTech carts with installed accessories such as lift kits, wheel and tire packages or additional seating. Each listing identifies its own equipment; options are not the same on every cart.

Where can I get exact specifications?

Ask for specifications matched to the model year and configuration of the cart you are considering. Factory information may not describe a modified cart’s current dimensions, weight or equipment.
